Places that inspire timless design

Beyond the objects

Great design is never experienced in isolation.

It lives in museums, workshops, historic streets, private collections and unexpected places around the world.

Places is an evolving journal of destinations that continue to inspire my photography, research and stories.

Beyond the photographs

Kyoto wasn’t memorable because of its temples.

It was the quiet streets that stayed with me. Every alley, workshop and weathered wooden façade felt carefully composed, as if the city itself understood the beauty of restraint. The smallest details became just as memorable as the famous landmarks.
